On the first day proper of our holiday, we headed for the beach at L’Escalet and our trip took us through Ramatuelle which was holding a Sunday Morning market. The light was Painter’s South of France perfection and after a gloomy English Winter we just could not tstop talking about the light and the weather. I forget which way round it was, but one of us was armed with the iPhone and the other with the Fuji X-E1 and on our wanderings through the market we were both struck by these two young ladies pausing for a bite to eat. It is hard to say which image we prefer the Fuji above or the iPhone image below. Both images we believe captured a lovely stereotypical image of the life in the South of France, especially around the St Tropez area. A sort of relaxed chic, an easy going enjoyment of a good life, but when they are as old as myself and Mrs P, these two will also have learned the importance of saturating your life with smiles!
