Today Gates and Worth went to the National Railway Museum in York. They saw The Mallard and learned about The Flying Scotsman. Gates thought it was better than any of the car museums they have visited and was in her element shooting away with her big zoom.
Worth couldn’t quite accept that it was better than a car museum, except Gaydon which neither of them rate. They have added seeing The Flying Scotsman to their bucket list.
Worth and Gates spent the day exploring York but really mostly window shopping and mooching about. Lunch was a Chinese while dinner was French. Both were rather nice even if Worth doesn’t have the biggest of appetites these days.
A walk along the ramparts got them back to a jeweller’s just twenty yards from their hotel. The sapphire and diamond pendant was just there waiting for them…
A busy drive north straight from work saw Worth and Gates arrive in York this evening. The hotel is about 4 inches from the York Minster. The price for this central location is that the room is about 4 inches long by 4 inches wide!
Worth and Gates though are very excited about their cosy long weekend in York. There be lots of shops on their doorstep!
Without dressing it up Worth was very poorly today. Tummyache and backache and being sick made him as weak as a kitten. The pain was excruciating. By three with many tablets it had eased but bitter lemon and chicken soup left him weak. Nurse Gates grabbed some time in the garden in between doing her sterling Florence impersonation.
Gates loves her new toy.
A day at the chemo ward for Worth and Gates. However, an early finish a 16:45 meant they could visit the garden centre. Two containers, two box bushes, a groovy petite hedge trimmer and a cordless drill/ screwdriver were the result of the forage.
Worth and Gates loved the tiny hedge trimmers and declared themselves very pleased with the results.
