Tales from a Fractured Folly: 14th April 2017

I am  very proud of my orchid growing skills, these two I have had for over a year and this is their second flowering. I went for a nice walk on Midsummer Hill to see if the bluebells were ready, but they are a way off their best. This weekend will be nothing like last weekend weather wise and the bluebells will need a bit more warmth before they make their entrance. I had a nice lunch of ham egg and chips in the Farmer Arms at Birtsmorton, which is a lovely proper village pub, where old farmer types gather and laugh about the fight they had with their goose.

  1. Last year my son gave me an orchid. I think it lasted around 4 months. Gradually dropped all its leaves…..I was not a good mama to that plant. Yours are beautiful.
