Tales from a Fractured Folly: 22nd November 2017

A puzzle for today. I decided that I should buy myself something a bit extravagant for Christmas/Birthday because Worth isn’t around to do it. It came today, the pound coin is to give you an idea of size. What have I bought? Answers at the end of the day.

Tales from a Fractured Folly: 21st November 2017

They put village Christmas tree up today. It’s so pretty and such a nice idea, as we have only recently had one. I think this bit of green has been taken over and now gets looked after by the Women’s Institute. It’s all planted up with herbs and flowers these days so I know where to go when I need some parsley.

Tales from a Fractured Folly: 19th November 2017

I was trying to take a picture of Ola sleeping contentedly on my lap after me being away. But is seems she took a dim view of being photographed and is just about to huff off as you can see, this being her peeved face. She has a very expressive face and I’m not sure how she does it, some combination of eyes and ears. She is a touchy little minx. She’ll be back. Bertie’s is out doing cat stuff in the dark, but he did leave me a mouse to come home to.

Groovy Word of the day: goodie

Tales from a Fractured Folly: 16th November 2017

I’m sure you are aware that Bertie is an avid hunter and I have to be very careful creeping around if it’s dark because there are often remnants scattered in the hall. That is where he brings them to play with and eventually eat. So, because of some laziness on my part, I had left my gloves and boots on the floor in the hall. Last night’s hapless mouse had clearly been trying to find a place to hide, as he was in the toe of my boot when I came downstairs with Bertie frantically trying to get it out. I saved my boots and the mouse, but my gloves must have been a less successful hiding place. 😲
